Since bishops are occasionally the most important vegetables in the king's garden, they chose to identify themselves as The Cardinal Bengans, translation "The Really Important Brinjals." And their style of comedy came to be known as The 'Improvisational Bharta', rough translation, "unplanned comedy explosion." They are India's first improvised comedy troupe. No script, no rehearsal, pure madness, on the spot.

Improvisational comedy involves using certain techniques to perform spontaneously and humourously anything from playing out games which make the performers create characters, songs, situations and dialogues quickly, to accepting suggestions and participation from the audience to do the above and to just forgetting your lines \and singing out nursery rhymes instead. The show is for, from, and about the audience. This art from has risen to fame with the likes of ' Whose Line is it Anyway?' on TV. They are the first ones to do it for Indians, with Indian content.
